When I told my husband I wanted to get some succulents this summer his only request was that I get some jelly bean plants. Well I had never heard of that before and did not find anything called that in the store. One day when we were at Lowes he found them and as it turns out they are called Pork and Beans, I am not lying. I guess they are called both but the label said Pork and Bean. Isn't it cute!
He lived outside all summer and now lives on the ledge behind my sink. For some reason he is hairy, I think he misses the hot summer, don't we all. I don't have the best luck keeping plants alive, I can't even keep succulents alive so we will see how long this little guys lasts.
Here is my flower pot before.
I used Martha Stewart Gold metallic paint and a small paint brush. I put on two coats.
And here she is! I guess she is a girl now that she is in gold.
This was a super easy project but it adds so much.
Have a fantastic day!

Love it! I never used to like gold, but I am LOVING all these gold accents! Super cute : )
ReplyDeleteI'm having a bit of a gold moment about now - my spray paint is working overtime! This is so simple but just adds a little something.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't worry, this plant looks like it will be pretty hard to kill. I would think its biggest enemy will be over watering, I'd let it almost dry right out before you water it, and then just a little. We have loads of money trees which look kinda similar and I forget them for weeks sometimes (the leaves wrinkle a little, I apologise , give them a little drink and they forgive me!)
I'm so into gold right now! Thanks for sharing at the Twirl & Take a Bow party!
ReplyDeleteVery nice blog you have here
